Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** Edelle is a sweet 6-7 month old terrier mix, roughly 9 lbs puppy who ended up on a euthanasia list at a high kill shelter in California. We got her out of there and she is ready to start her new life. Edelle had kennel cough and was treated with a couple of different antibiotics. She will be getting spayed by laser in WA before she is ready for her new home on 10/28/17. She is a very sweet little lady - a little shy at first until she trusts you. She is a little picky ... (Read More)with her food. She gets along well with children who are kind to her as well as people and other dogs. She is up to date on her vaccinations, and heart worm negative. Edelle will need house and obedience training in her new home. She must go to a home where other dogs are present and people are home during the day. She has gotten very close to another puppy in our rescue named Bellamy. Edelle has an adoption fee of $600 and is looking for that very special home. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved in a safe environment with a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. (Less)

YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!****** The very sad tail of Honeybee who at the age of 12 years old was dropped off at a extremely high kill shelter in such very poor shape by her owner. We seen how bad a shape she was in & her time had run out. We got her out & medically she needed the works. Her fur was barely there, her skin was an absolute mess from neglect, poor nutrition & possible flea infestation. We had to get Honeybee healthy before she could be put under anesthesia. Her skin had a skin scraping done, ... (Read More)she still gets medicated baths, she got meds & a good healthy diet then she was well enough to go under to get her dental. Her teeth were so very bad, she had extractions & major extractions. While under it was discovered that her ears were a mess so she also had to have her ears flushed. Honeybee's foster mum has discovered that this sweet lady is deaf & sometimes off in her own world. She is also spayed, weighs 13.2 lbs, a poodle terrier mix, chipped up to date on her shots & loves to eat. She is currently being fostered with other dogs, she should not go to a home with children because of being deaf & needs to go to a home where other dogs are present & someone is always present in the home. All of our sweet souls are rescues so they need a home where the people understand these little lives were thrown away & deserve to be cherished. Honeybee has an adoption fee of $450. Rescue Me ID: 17-10-06-00358Andrew & Lohdi (male)

Scottish Terrier    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** Andrew and Lohdi are a sweet bonded pair looking for their forever home together. Andrew is an 11 year old Scottish terrier who weighs 42 pounds and his buddy Lohdi is a 9 year old terrier mix who weighs 40 pounds. Lohdi is the pack leader and Andrew relies on him, so they must be adopted together. They both get along great with other dogs. We haven't had them around cats or children, so we're not sure what they think of them. There was a listing online for a Scottie needing ... (Read More)a home so one of our volunteers reached out and spoke to their previous owner. Unfortunately, the previous owner's husband had passed away and she could no longer care for these two charming boys. She had people lined up to adopt Andrew the Scottie, but it didn't work out and we said of course we would take him into our rescue. She also asked if we would we take his friend as well. When we heard that they were bonded, we promised not separate them and to find them a loving home together. We had these two lovebugs picked up and brought to our vets. We soon discovered that both dogs had masses that had to be removed immediately and they desperately needed to be groomed. Poor Andrew had several masses removed near his anus and one under his belly. Lohdi also had to have a mass removed. Their masses were sent away for biopsies and came back benign. This silly affectionate pair is ready to find the loving forever home they deserve. Like all rescue dogs, they will need house training and obedience training. Andrew & Lohdi have an adoption fee of $1000. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Thanks for your cooperation!****** Roderick has another very rough & sad tail, he was surrendered to an extremely high kill shelter in CA by his owner who no longer wanted him. He had ran out of time & needed out of the shelter badly & was on the euthanasia list. We got him out & he was in a very bad way with pneumonia, he stayed at the vets for over 7 days & was treated for pneumonia & had many x-rays performed to see his progress. Roderick was treated & is recovering from his pneumonia. He had to be ... (Read More)groomed down as he was so very matted. Roderick went to his foster home & his urine was a little brown in color so he was taken back to our vets for a urinalysis & it came back negative. It was then discovered that he had a foxtail in his ear drum so he had to go under to have the foxtail removed from his ear drum & he received quite a major dental. Roderick is a 3 year old male maltese poodle mix who is neutered, now up to date on his shots, just had a dental, freshly groomed, heart worm negative & has an adoption fee of $550. Roderick does not enjoy the groomers & needs time to warm up to you & trust you, it took roughly 3 days in the foster home before he trusted his foster mum & then we he did he made it clear that he would be sleeping on her pillow near her head every night. Roderick is a rescue & will need work on training & potty training & wears a belly band in his foster home to help work on potty training. He gets along great with other dogs & needs to go to a home where the people are present during the day & there is another dog in the home.     YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!****** Maise & Coco are a bonded pair. These 13 year old girls are full of life and still have lots of love left to give. We received a message on facebook that asked for our help with these two sweethearts. The young girl's mother died & she could not keep them, so of course we did not want these two sweethearts to end up in the shelter, so we helped them out. Maise & Coco are very bonded and they have to be adopted together. They are 13 years old, have never been separated and ... (Read More)we will not allow them to be adopted to a home where they will be separated. They have never known another home besides the one they have been in for 13 years, and are currently in a foster home with two other scotties. Maise is super sweet 21.2lb scottie. Once she warms up to you, she is very loving and likes attention. She loves being petted on and getting affection, but she sometimes gets a little scared if you approach from behind. She will also turn and nip a little when you pick her up, so we think they might have had stairs or pet furniture so they may have not been picked up often. She definitely has the scottie temperament if she is in the mood! It would be good if she went to a home that has the time to make them the center of attention(these girls will eat it up!). They enjoy being with other dogs that are mellow and low in energy, they get along well with the foster's other dogs. Maise also enjoys being outside and have a yard to investigate, they really love being outside and get a lot of energy to run around in the grass! She also doesn't seem to be a heavy barker. Coco is an 18.2lb doxie love that also enjoys all of your attention. She has a very good appetite, and as such she is a little overweight, but with time and attention she can be back to a normal weight. Even though she is on the larger size, she still has got some moves and energy to run around the backyard with Maise! We also think that Coco may not had much experience getting picked up, as she yelps when you pick her up, even if she is asking for it or asking for help up on furniture. Other than that she is not a large barker. Coco is such a little dear though, she wants nonstop attention and will put her head under your hand until she tires you out. She prefers to be right next to you at all times, you can definitely see she is a genuine lap dog. We took them to our vet and got them all fixed up, unfortunately they needed a lot of work done, over $1800 worth. They are getting healthy again with us, as Maise got updated on her shots, chipped, had to get an exploratory surgery to see if she was spayed(she was), she needed a dental & polish, along with 9 teeth removed. Coco needed to be spayed, she was actually in heat when we got her at her 13 years of age. She also received a dental, with 5 teeth removed. Coco also had a mass removal, and we got her updated on her shots, chipped, and she was also treated for a bad ear infection. Like most dogs in our rescue, Maise will need work on potty training. Maise & Coco have an adoption fee of $950 and they MUST be adopted together. They are a bonded pair and never far from each other at all times. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption.     Bonded with Flora, must be adopted together. YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!****** Smokey is a sweet, small 11.2lb terrier. This little guy is only a year, so young to be in the high kill shelter we found him in where his time had run out. When we got him out, he had such severe pneumonia he spent a little over two weeks at our vet. He was treated with different types of medications, daily breathing treatments, and he was also given x-rays to check the progress of his health. When we got him out, we also ... (Read More)noticed on his cheek an abscess that the shelter had said they had taken care of, but our vet said it was oozing puss, so they needed to go back in and re-drain it. A dog such as Smokey will need to be very well taken care of for a few months because pneumonia doesn't fully leave their body for two months. He also cannot undergo anesthesia for 6 months no matter what the reason, unless it is to save their life. If they do, it can trigger pneumonia again. Smokey is such a cute boy. He is a young dog, full of life, love, and energy. He loves snuggling and hanging out by your side, he loves other dogs, and he is not a huge barker. We would like Smokey and Flora to be adopted together, they came from the same shelter, we got them out at the same time, and they might have come from the same home. Poodle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!****** Lizzie is a sweet poodle/terrier mix with so much love to give! She is 5 years old and was in a high kill shelter where she had run out of time and needed to be saved. It was clear that Lizzie just had puppies recently, where her puppies were we did not know, but we did know she had been in the shelter for a very long time. We got her out of the shelter and little Lizzie was so very sick with pneumonia. She spent 11-14 days in the hospital, she was treated with multiple ... (Read More)antibiotics, daily breathing treatments, and x-ray's to constantly check on her health. It was then discovered that she has a grade 3 out of 6 heart murmur. She was treated for skin allergies and she may need a dental later on. Unfortunately, the recovery time for pneumonia is 2 months and she cannot undergo anesthesia for 6 months no matter what the reason, unless it is to save her life. If she did, it could trigger pneumonia again, so the dental will have to wait. Lizzie is so loving and playful, loves playing with other dogs, and she is a super high jumper. She will need a home that will be willing to make sure she gets exercise each day. She loves walks and does well on a leash. Lizzie is super affectionate. She gives kisses and loves to cuddle. Shec always wants to be with her people. Lizzie would do best in a home with other dogs present and where people are home during the day. She gets along best with submissive male dogs. Lizzie hasn't had any accidents in her foster home, but may need work on house training in a new environment. Lizzie has an adoption fee of $500 __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Thanks for your cooperation!****** Flora is 2 years old and 12.5 lbs of love. We pulled her from a high kill shelter where she clearly needed out, she was so deathly sick. She ended up staying at our vets for 17 days being treated for pneumonia, she was given multiple antibiotics, breathing treatments, she was given many x-ray's to constantly monitor how the pneumonia was doing. Now she is back here with us and will be ready to go to her new home on the 16/17th ... (Read More)of Sept. She is so super sweet and loving. We would like Smokey and Flora to be adopted together, they came from the same shelter, we got them out at the same time, and they might have come from the same home. When Matilda was surrendered to the shelter, she was surrendered in a filthy box, and she was dirty, full of fleas, and matted down to her skin. On the side of her neck she had a gaping wound and a foxtail in her ear. We are not sure how she got her wounds, but we think she may have belonged to someone who lived on the street. The shelter thought she might be pregnant, but ... (Read More)when they went to spay her, they found she was already spayed. Matilda's precious life almost came to a very sad end at the shelter and she needed out immediately. We rescued this little love and got her fixed up at the vet with all the medical care she needed. Unknown Good with Kids? Unknown Adoption Fee: $450 ** Ana was previously adopted 4 months ago, and was returned to the rescue, sadly things did not work out with the owner. Ana is now back in her previous foster home where she is doing great. She is living with a family who fosters other animals, dogs, cats, and ... (Read More)is getting along well with everyone. We suggest that Ana go to a home where people are home all the time and they have experience with small dogs and rescues. She would also do best with another dog in the home. About Ana: This is the sad tale of little 8 year old Ana the miniature female poodle. She needed out of the shelter immediately because she had run out of time. We got her to our vets and they quickly discovered she had mammary masses which had to be removed, 1 rather large and 2 small. We got them removed and did blood work, got her spayed and got a biopsy done on the masses. Ana also needed a very large dental as her little teeth were a mess. We got the very devastating news today that the masses were cancerous. Ana has anywhere from 3 months to 3 years to live. She is looking for someone to love her for the time she has left. She is a very smart little lady and lets you know when she needs to go to the bathroom. She really enjoys being with people and other dogs. We do not know about cats or children. She weighs a tiny 6.06 lbs and is a very fussy tiny eater but has the most adorable little personality. Ana's adoption fee is $450. Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Vaccinations Current, Blind

Poppy is a blind 8 year old Lhasa Apso Poodle mix whose owner surrendered him to the shelter. Despite the extreme neglect he has suffered in his life, he is so incredibly loving. He is a very sweet, affectionate, and well mannered guy. Poppy absolutely loves to snuggle and will thank you for belly rubs with kisses. He loves to follow his foster family around the house when he's not relaxing on his favorite fleece blanket. Being blind hasn't set Poppy back one bit. Once he learns the lay of the land in a new place, he gets around just fine. He does get startled if people or other pets sneak up on him unexpectedly, but as long as you talk to ... (Read More)him before you touch him he's totally comfortable. Poppy had to have one of his eyes removed due to severe neglect as it was crusted over and had a large scratch on the cornea. He is blind and will be on eye drops for the rest of his life to treat chronic dry eye. Poppy is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped. He recently had a dental cleaning done and had a few front teeth removed. He also had a small growth removed from his backside which has completely healed. Poppy gets along with other dogs and will get along with cats who are familiar with dogs. He doesn't do well with children because they tend to startle him as he can't see them coming. Poppy is waiting to meet his forever family who will give him the unconditional love he deserves. Poppy hasn't had any accidents in his foster home but may need work on house training in a new environment. Poppy has an adoption fee of $450 __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application.
