Health: Spayed

YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!****** Ally's puppies 10 weeks now & will be just shy of 12 weeks when they leave the rescue. The lovely Ally & her absolutely adorable babies come from a kill shelter in CA & needed out with the help of our rescue & here we are with these beautiful little angels. Why they ended up in the shelter we will never know, what we do know is they needed help. Allie is very sweet and eager for attention But slow to warm up and trust. She most likely spent a significant amount of time ... (Read More)as a stray and is initially timid. She loves being by your side and loves scratches but does not like being picked up or put on her back. She is playful and loves squeeky toys. Will potty as soon as taken outside or on the potty pad inside. She will make an awesome companion once she learns to trust. She's good with other dogs, untested with cats and would be ok with older respectful kids. Like most dogs in our rescue, Allie will need work on potty training. Allie has an adoption fee of $625 __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. Rescue Me ID: 17-12-10-00434Zoe (female)

Maltese Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Look at this sweet little lady Zoe, a whole 7 lbs of her, well under the care of the foster mum she is gaining weight. This sweet 4 year old Maltese mix we believe came to us pure skin & bones, scary thin. Your whole hand fit around her tiny frail frame. We were asked to take Zoe into our rescue from a kill shelter in CA, & we know why this little lady was a shelter favorite. We were told that she had a uti or possibly bladder stones but our vet quickly realized after 2 x-rays & medication that this sweet little lady has nerve damage down near her tail & second vertebrae. Our vet also discovered that she only has a nub for a tail. We do not ... (Read More)know if man did this to Zoe or she was born this way? It was also discovered that she has slight symptoms of a luxated patella on her right side but is showing no signs of it. Zoe is a 4 year old female, 7 lbs, up to date on her shots, chipped, spayed, just had a dental & is heart worm negative. This little lady will need a very kind, dedicated special home as she is incontinent & needs to wear a nappy or belly band due to having no control over her bodily functions because of the nerve damage. That being said she runs around & plays with the other dogs & cats & loves people & is being fostered with a family with teenagers who she also adores. Please only apply for Zoe if you are committed to being her forever home with her incontinent issues & not just because you see a very adorable little angel. Zoe is a life long commitment. She must go to a home with other dogs present in the home & with people present in the home. This little lady is full of so much love & joy & was a picky eater when she first joined our rescue but the foster mum has certainly turned that around. Zoe is such a special little lady! Please do not apply just because you see a precious little girl, she truly needs someone who will be fully committed to her and her needs. Zoe has an adoption fee of $575. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Rescue Me ID: 17-11-17-00010Scottie (male)

Schnauzer    Age: Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

The very sweet Scottie is an 8 year old male schnauzer who ended up in a shelter in CA, how & why he ended up there we will never know? He is the sweetest, loving little fellow. He was not neutered when we got it but now is, & our vets discovered he had a raging ear infection & oh my word were his teeth in such very poor shape. He had a major dental with extractions of many teeth including caines & molars & the tartar was so very thick on this poor guys teeth it was horrendous. We have already spent close to $1000 on Scottie. Scottie needs a home where people are home during the day to give him all the love he deserves, he walks well on a ... (Read More)leash, is neutered, chipped, up to date on his shots, just had a major dental, being treated for a ear infection & is heart worm negative. We do not know how Scottie is around cats but we have had him with other dogs & he enjoys their company. We do not know about having him around children. Scottie has an adoption fee of $600 and will be ready for his forever home on 11/25/17 Foster Mom Says About Scottie: Scottie (foster) is doing great. Finished his last antibiotic yesterday, has learned sit and leave the cat alone. He gets along great with the dogs and plays fetch, loves soft toys and playing with our Vizsla. He is eating a mix of canned and dry Halo well and his mouth has healed nicely. Initially he had some potty incidents in the house, we think these were 1 male initial marking and 2 he wasn't giving any obvious signs. We put him out every few hrs and if he goes sniffing near an outside door and haven't had any spots in a few days. When left alone he whines a bit initially but then goes and hangs out with the other dogs. Rarely do we hear him bark, he is curious and does not seem to be afraid of anything. He loves on every human and is so eager to please. Definately a snuggler he loves to be in your lap, or pressed next to you. He has to share that lap with our other dog. He tried claiming us but with gentle reminders he has learned to share. **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Cairn Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation. Kenny is a spunky 3 year old Cairn terrier mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter in California where he was out of time and in danger of being euthanized because he was seriously ill with pneumonia. We stepped in to get this little guy the medical treatment he so desperately needed and he spent several weeks at the vet. Some days we truly did not know if he was going to make it, so we're beyond thrilled that he is now a healthy happy boy. Kenny was not a happy camper at ... (Read More)the vet and was snappy with the staff. He had enough of being poked and prodded, he really wasn't feeling well, and he was under a lot of stress from having spent time in a crowded shelter. We weren't sure if he was an aggressive dog or if he just had that sassy terrier attitude we know so well, so we sent him to a trainer who we've had great success working with. When Kenny was well enough to leave the vet, he spent six weeks with the trainer in California. He is doing great in his foster home and has been on his very best behavior, but we still recommend that he goes to a home with no children. Kenny is looking for a very special forever family with a dominant pack leader who is willing to work with him on training, preferably with terrier experience. He weighs 9-10 pounds, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and is heart worm negative. He gets along great with other dogs. We haven't had him around cats yet, so we're not sure what he thinks of them. All of our rescue dogs will need work on house and obedience training. Kenny has been through so much! Could you be the loving forever family he deserves? Kenny has an adoption fee of $500. **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Thanks for your cooperation!*** Andrew and Lohdi are a sweet bonded pair looking for their forever home together. Andrew is an 11 year old Scottish terrier who weighs 42 pounds and his buddy Lohdi is a 9 year old terrier mix who weighs 40 pounds. Lohdi is the pack leader and Andrew relies on him, so they must be adopted together. They both get along great with other dogs. We haven't had them around cats or children, so we're not sure what they think of them. There was a listing online for a Scottie needing ... (Read More)a home so one of our volunteers reached out and spoke to their previous owner. Unfortunately, the previous owner's husband had passed away and she could no longer care for these two charming boys. She had people lined up to adopt Andrew the Scottie, but it didn't work out and we said of course we would take him into our rescue. She also asked if we would we take his friend as well. When we heard that they were bonded, we promised not separate them and to find them a loving home together. We had these two lovebugs picked up and brought to our vets. We soon discovered that both dogs had masses that had to be removed immediately and they desperately needed to be groomed. Poor Andrew had several masses removed near his anus and one under his belly. Lohdi also had to have a mass removed. Their masses were sent away for biopsies and came back benign. This silly affectionate pair is ready to find the loving forever home they deserve. Like all rescue dogs, they will need house training and obedience training. Andrew & Lohdi have an adoption fee of $1000. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved in a safe environment with a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application.     YES, WE'RE AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!****** Maise & Coco are a bonded pair. These 13 year old girls are full of life and still have lots of love left to give. We received a message on facebook that asked for our help with these two sweethearts. The young girl's mother died & she could not keep them, so of course we did not want these two sweethearts to end up in the shelter, so we helped them out. Maise & Coco are very bonded and they have to be adopted together. They are 13 years old, have never been separated and ... (Read More)we will not allow them to be adopted to a home where they will be separated. They have never known another home besides the one they have been in for 13 years, and are currently in a foster home with two other scotties. Maise is super sweet 21.2lb scottie. Once she warms up to you, she is very loving and likes attention. She loves being petted on and getting affection, but she sometimes gets a little scared if you approach from behind. She will also turn and nip a little when you pick her up, so we think they might have had stairs or pet furniture so they may have not been picked up often. She definitely has the scottie temperament if she is in the mood! It would be good if she went to a home that has the time to make them the center of attention(these girls will eat it up!). They enjoy being with other dogs that are mellow and low in energy, they get along well with the foster's other dogs. Maise also enjoys being outside and have a yard to investigate, they really love being outside and get a lot of energy to run around in the grass! She also doesn't seem to be a heavy barker. We also just discovered that Maise has cushings & she will be on vetoryl for the remainder of her life. the cost for the treatment of this will be approximately $50 per month. Coco is an 18.2lb doxie love that also enjoys all of your attention. She has a very good appetite, and as such she is a little overweight, but with time and attention she can be back to a normal weight. Even though she is on the larger size, she still has got some moves and energy to run around the backyard with Maise! We also think that Coco may not had much experience getting picked up, as she yelps when you pick her up, even if she is asking for it or asking for help up on furniture. Other than that she is not a large barker. Coco is such a little dear though, she wants nonstop attention and will put her head under your hand until she tires you out. She prefers to be right next to you at all times, you can definitely see she is a genuine lap dog. We took them to our vet and got them all fixed up, unfortunately they needed a lot of work done, over $1800 worth. They are getting healthy again with us, as Maise got updated on her shots, chipped, had to get an exploratory surgery to see if she was spayed(she was), she needed a dental & polish, along with 9 teeth removed. Coco needed to be spayed, she was actually in heat when we got her at her 13 years of age. She also received a dental, with 5 teeth removed. Coco also had a mass removal, and we got her updated on her shots, chipped, and she was also treated for a bad ear infection. Like most dogs in our rescue, Maise will need work on potty training. Maise & Coco have an adoption fee of $950 and they MUST be adopted together. They are a bonded pair and never far from each other at all times. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption.     YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!****** Lizzie is a sweet poodle/terrier mix with so much love to give! She is 5 years old and was in a high kill shelter where she had run out of time and needed to be saved. It was clear that Lizzie just had puppies recently, where her puppies were we did not know, but we did know she had been in the shelter for a very long time. We got her out of the shelter and little Lizzie was so very sick with pneumonia. She spent 11-14 days in the hospital, she was treated with multiple ... If she did, it could trigger pneumonia again, so the dental will have to wait. Lizzie is so loving and playful, loves playing with other dogs, and she is a super high jumper.     YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** Snow is a very sweet 5 yr old male miniature poodle. He was rescued from a California shelter who came in as a stray, and his time was up! He still has bad dreams and will growl in his sleep. He loves to play with toys and we always make sure we tell him drop it before we take the toy. He wants to dominate other animals but Moe the cat ignores him and Molly the dog only cares if she thinks he is getting more attention. Snow is almost completely deaf so you will need to ... (Read More)approach him carefully as to not startle him because he may snap at you out of fear. He loves loves loves his walks. He will greet you everyday with kisses. Travels well in his crate. Likes to sleep on a big pillow. Will do time outs in his crate if he did something naughty. Snow is all about trust. Whether it is his parents, the vet, the groomer. Something happened in his past around his back side because of someone touches back there he gets snappy real fast. Snow should only go to a home with a vast amount of experience and no kids. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. WE ARE VOLUNTEERS WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we've received and reviewed your completed application. Thanks for your patience and cooperation! (Less)
